Who We Are + How We Got Here
Inspired in Europe and founded in America by Founder Paul Binder and Co-Founder Michael Christensen in 1977, the Big Apple Circus introduced American audiences to the intimate environment of a one-ring circus under the Big Top.
Goody Jr., the present generation leader-performer in a family that started acrobatic performances in the Philippines, began when he was at the age of five. He is the oldest among nine brothers and one sister.

Goody Sr., his father, trained him quite early – performing with his him in different places in the Philippines, Goody Jr. loved circus so much that he to proved himself a promising young juggler.

He and his father started performing outside the Philippines when he was 12. Their first show was in Tokyo, where he performed side by side with international artists of his age.

Due to the success of their first show in Tokyo, a series of other shows followed, which made them travel to Japan five times.

A family inclined to circus, the brothers and sister later joined. The next country they performed was Thailand, in 1986. After that, they were caught in many showing engagements in countries like Doha, Qatar in 1987 and 1989, Kuwait, Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sarjah in 1990 and Taiwan in 1992.

Then they joined The Jumbo European Circus performing with international artists. Venues of their shows included 5 star hotels, cafes, schools and amusement parks. During this time, Goody Sr. and his family have become professional acrobats of high caliber.

Among the countries that they visited, it was Thailand which Goody Jr. fell in loved with. Later, he decided to make it his permanent residence and met the woman who would become his wife and with whom he has four adorable children – Elizabeth (eldest), Rachel (2nd), Isaiah (3rd) and Elijah (youngest).

The children, inspired by their father, became interested in circus as well. Goody Jr., upon realizing their burning desire to be taught, started teaching them the different numbers.

Today, he and his wife with their four graceful children are one team, performing in different places in Thailand as well as in other countries.

These children are fourth generation of circus performers in their family, starting from their great grand father, the Filipino performer who started and popularized acrobatic circus in the Philippines and who performed for 27 years in all parts of the world - with top circuses.
